A new day of voices. A new day of pride. A new day of rebirth. A new day of hope.

It’s time for another fantastic night of poetry at Deep Tanks. This month’s installment finds us teaming up with the Staten Island LGBT Community Center to bring you a wonderful night of LGBTQ poetry. Poets from the center and from around Staten Island will be performing. It shall be a magical night with most of the proceeds going to the LGBTQ Community Center.

Here’s a little more about the center: The Staten Island LGBTQ Community Center is the cornerstone for LGBTQ programs and services on Staten Island. The Center provides a safe place for people to gather, socialize, educate, and advocate for the physical, mental, social and emotional well-being and health of our communities. The Center is in the process of spinning off from Community Health Action, the result of which will be an independent non-profit that continues to serve the Island’s LGBTQ communities, known as the Pride Center of Staten Island.
