Authors Terry Golway and Eamon Loingsigh will visit the Cranford Community Center on Thursday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Golway, a professor of history at Kean University, has published several books on various aspects of American history, served as a columnist and editorial board member at the New York Times, and was an editor and writer at the New York Observer. He will talk about his latest book, Machine Made: Tammany Hall and the Creation of Modern American Politics. Mr. Loingsigh will talk about his new book, Light of the Diddicoy, a fictional saga of Irish gangs on the Brooklyn waterfront set in the early 20th century. Light of the Diddicoy is the first of Loingsigh’s Auld Irishtown trilogy, which delves into the stories and lore of the gangs and families of Brooklyn’s Irish underworld. Admission is free and all are welcome.
