THOMAS FUCALORO (we’ve featured him before) and CHRISTOPHER ‘JELLY’ STANLY are stopping by as part of their CARE BEAR TOUR and so we’re holding something special in honor of their beautiful faces/words.

From 6 PM to 7 PM, they’ll be leading a WRITING WORKSHOP. Either bring 8-10 copies of one of your poems that you want workshopped, or come with an open mind and ready to write. It’ll be a good experience no matter what. See more about the workshop below!

From 7 to 9 PM, we’ll have Thomas and Jelly do a set of awesome poetry and then we will have a BOX OF DOOM. BOX OF DOOM works like this: we have scoured the earth for the worst poems, lyrics, and yelp reviews we can locate; anyone DARING ENOUGH can pull a random poem/etc. from the BOX OF DOOM — you will then have 1-3 minutes to mentally steel yourself before performing this work before your peers/strangers. It should be fun. You should come.

Workshop Info:
We will be looking at the poem” dinosauria, we” by Charles Bukowski. Bukowski is not a slam poet in any sense of the word but we are going to talk about how it is a slam poem and what we can learn from it. We will also be work shopping your poems. So please bring in 6-8 copies of a poem you would like workshopped.
