On October 6, 3RP hosted our first live Dada salon in NYC since the pandemic began, and a full house at NYPL’s Jefferson Market Library was blown away by a creative flurry of performers and poets in a celebration of the latest issue of MAINTENANT, the international journal of contemporary dada writing and art.
3RP co-directors and hosts Kat Georges and Peter Carlaftes introduced 22 artists and poets from the greater New York area, including Austin Alexis, Amy Barone, Andrei Codrescu, Robert C. Ford, Mark Glista, Meghan Grupposo, Bibbe Hansen, Karen Hildebrand, Eleni Kourti, Linda Lerner, Eliette Markhbein, Charles Mingus III, Lois Kagan Mingus, Valery Oisteanu, Yuko Otomo, John Paul, Nicca Ray, Angela Sloan, Paul Sohar, Christine Stoddard, John J. Trause, Ann Firestone Ungar, Lynnea Villanova, and Jeffrey Cyphers Wright.
Limited copies of MAINTENANT 16 are still available here. This issue features 240 contributors from 40 countries and 7 continents. The MAINTENANT series, published by Three Rooms Press since 2008, is the premier journal of international contemporary dada writing and art, and is also available online from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop, and more, or can be ordered through your local indie bookstore via indiebound.org.
