We invite young writers and authors to join and ask questions! Talk about your writing, publishing and share experiences in hopes of learning from each other. A friendly group where you can talk about your writing or ask questions from other young authors about writing.
Guest Speakers:
Olivia Bell is the author of poetry chapbook What Makes Honey Dark. Her work has also been published in literary journals such as Canvas Lit and the Kenyon Young Writers Anthology, and she has been an editor of two literary magazines, previously her high school’s Free Run Press and currently Nectarine, the Zine. Apart from a lifelong passion for language, she enjoys French new wave film, art history, and ancient ruins. She lives in Chicago and will begin her undergraduate degree at Yale University this fall, where she hopes to study the classics or English literature.
Rishab Borah – author, The Door to Inferna. Rishab Borah has held a deep passion for magic and mystical things since elementary school. He started creating the world “Elkloria” when he was 11. Besides writing, Rishab is also an accomplished artist and loves to sketch wildlife, imaginary mythological figures, and dragons. He has a keen interest in linguistics, science, and programming—he recently taught himself Python and Java programming in order to create his own video games. He currently lives with his parents in the Silicon Valley, California area.
Anthony E. Zuiker – is the Co-Founder, Publisher and Creative Director of Zuiker Press that produces Graphic Novels based on Teens and their personal stories. He is also the creator of television’s hugely successful CSI franchise. Zuiker Press is a publishing company that champions the voice of young authors. They are an “issue based” literary house. All of their authors have elected to tell their personal stories and be ambassadors of their cause. Their mission is that readers will learn from the pain and heroics of their authors and find hope, change, and happiness in their own lives.
