121418: Prose! Poetry! Party! 6, Our Final Event at Cornelia Street Cafe
Three Rooms Press bid a fond adieu to Greenwich Village beautiful Cornelia Street Cafe. In the past 12 years, we’ve hosted hundreds of events at the cafe, including poetry readings, book launches, comedy nights, music events, and more. CSC has truly meant a lot to us, and it will be missed! Our final event was December 14, with our sixth annual Prose! Poetry! Party! featuring readings by 11 literary artists whose work has been published by Three Rooms Press, including Meagan Brothers, Black Cocteau (aka Kofi Forson), Adam Lance Garcia, Robert Gibbons, Aimee Herman, Karen Hildebrand, David Lawton, Jane LeCroy, Jane Ormerod, John S. Paul, and Patricia Leonard. 3RP co-directors Kat Georges and Peter Carlaftes hosted.
A highlight of this year’s event was a special reading by CSC founder and artistic director Robin Hirsch, who read a poignant story about the cafe, followed by surprise guests Gordon Gilbert and 3RP editorial associate Kailey Milks.
Cornelia Street Cafe’s final day will by January 2, 2019. Be sure to drop by and say farewell.
And below are some scenes from off stage. It was a great way to close out a year of highs and lows, and show how building community makes it all worthwhile. We love our 3RP friends and family! Thanks for all of the support through the years!
