Poetry Music. Neurotransmitters in the brain fire off enough electricity to light up a city. A live wire connection is made when poetry and music meet. It’s rockin’ and magical and it’s happening again!
Yes! The famed improvisational and hyper-combustible band, The Ne’erdowells are back and ready for live playing behind the Northeast’s top poets in a one-night-only re-ignition of the beloved and much-missed Hydrogen Jukebox series, the brainchild of the late poet, teacher and friend Brant Lyon. Be there to enjoy the set, or sign up to read (limited slots available night of show).
Hydro Juke Revisit is the part of The Monthly at Cornelia Street Cafe, a unique series curated by Three Rooms Press that brings together leading poets, intellectuals, performers and budding rebels on a different topic each month. Upcoming events include: JULY 5: THAT’S INDEPENDENTS (a focus on Independent publishers featuring Great Weather for Media, Kicks Books, In Stereo Press, Akashic Press, The Unbearables Press and Three Rooms Press); AUGUST 2: Pop Poetry (a tribute to August-born Andy Warhol)
